Got to love those budget conscious Tea Party Conservatives.

I really think these Tea Party folks are spot on in their views.

I mean, I can agree there should be less government, right?

But then, how can one explain the seeming wild indulgence in spending and use of government for what amounts to be a political motivated hatchet job?

What am I referring to?

The United States House Select Committee on Benghazi.

How much have these bozos spent? Well, there’s a calculator where you can go and watch the number go up. The great thing about this is it is akin to throwing money away on something that has already been done - this is not the first investigation into what happened in Benghazi.

Then again, it’s fairly obvious this has never been about Benghazi at all, not when the person who is in charge of the committee makes statements like these:

“The question I think you really want to ask me is how am I going to be different?” Mr. McCarthy said. “What you’re going to see is a conservative speaker that takes  a conservative Congress that puts a strategy to fight and win.”

“And let me give you one example. Everybody thought Hillary Clinton was unbeatable right? But we put together a Benghazi special committee, a select committee. What are her numbers today? Her numbers are dropping. Why? Because she’s untrustable. But no one would have known any of that had happened had we not fought to make that happen.”

What I love is that these are the selfsame people who have been responsible for shutting down the government a few times now, saying they are really concerned about the burden they are leaving behind for future Americans.

Doesn’t this make it all ring hollow?
